Rock Candy Land Retail Display Contest: VISUAL MERCHANDISING TIPS

6/20/2018

Week two of our National Candy Month Rock Candy Land Retail Display Contest is underway! For those who need a little inspiration to kick start your candy land, we put together some strategic tips to a successful display!

The Rock Candy Toys development process has been strategic since its inception, carefully planned and researched by our staff of trusted engineers.
The vintage-inspired candy shop aesthetic was designed to replicate the enchanting candy-shop experience, much like experiencing a trip to a Disney theme park. As a result, our intentional approach to merchandising and product design supports retailers to achieve full sales potential.

Bright, dynamic eye-catching merchandising pieces were designed to help retailers carry out the cohesive candy theme. The hanging ‘Treat Yourself’ signs can be hung or posted anywhere, and the tube dispenser Candy Shoppe was designed to hang or sit on any shelf, slatwall or table. These pieces are compatible with any store layout (loop, angular, straight, etc.).

There are many ways to turn your Rock Candy display into eye-catching visual art, including:
-Hanging lollipops, gumdrops (These can be DIY, Christmas ornaments, etc.)
-Filling product inside candy jars
-Window/entrance display

Other Rock Candy Merchandising Tips:
  • The cash wrap is prime real estate for low cost/high margin items that catch customers’ attention right before they exit. One of the primary reasons that Rock Candy looks just like candy in a store!
  • Don’t interrupt the customer’s checkout experience with an overcrowded register display. Avoid over-merchandising the countertop. Customers need to have enough room to put at least 10 items on the counter at once.
  • Keep Rock Candy Toys grouped together in the store in order to keep your customers engaged on every piece!
  • Aim to inspire! National Candy Month only comes around once a year, so celebrate by treating your customers to something memorable!

We would love to feature your store in next week's blog update! Please send us a 'sneak peek' photo to candy@rockcandytoys.com! Also, don't forget to hashtag any social media photos with #rockcandylandcontest, and tag us @rockcandytoys.

Final submissions are due June 31 - we can’t wait to see your candy-coated wonderland!
